Kim Ivey has extensive experience in stock broking, corporate finance, asset consulting and investment management. His careers with Merrill Lynch, Citibank, Towers Perrin and the Commonwealth Bank have spanned over 25 years. In addition to establishing one of Australia’s first hedge funds, Vertex Capital Management in 1998, he has also been the Chairman for the peak Hedge Fund industry association (AIMA Australia) since 2004.  Mr Ivey is a recognised expert in the financial services industry and has a deep history of engagement with institutional investors, capital markets and financial regulators.

Mr Ivey has worked his entire professional career in Sydney. However he is a descendant of an historical pastoral and pearling family from far North Queensland and he has developed strong links with Broome and the Kimberley region.
